UNIVERSITY PLANS FOR NEW BUILDING ON DERBY ROAD UNVEILED

Nottingham University, who recently completed the purchase of Lenton Lodge, the former gatehouse to Wollaton Hall,  have submitted a planning application for redevelopment of the site of 522 Derby Road (formerly occupied by Mansells).

Bond Bryan have been chosen as the architects for the project, an Advanced Manufacturing Building which will include offices, teaching space, laboratories, and workshops. The plans also include the provision of a new  scout hut on the site.

The proposed development, sited between Lenton Lodge and the Rose & Crown public house, will give the University's Jubilee Campus its first presence on Derby Road and will include a new entrance to the Jubilee Campus.

The application was posted in the list of planning applications for the week ending Friday 29 January 2016.
