COUNCIL PROSECUTES AGENT FOR CONTRAVENING LETTING BOARD CONTROLS
Nottingham City Council has successfully prosecuted Spencer Birch LLP for displaying an unauthorised letting board at an address in Lenton.
Spencer Birch has been fined £440 with £44 victim surcharge and must pay the Council's costs of £438.
It is hoped that this will serve as a deterrent to other agents and landlords.
It also highlights how important it is that the controls, which are due to come to an end in October 2017, are renewed, and that residents and residents' associations in the areas where the controls are in place support the Council's intention to apply to the Secretary of State for permission to do. so.

The consultation ends on Monday 20 March 2017.
