On 18 December 2013, Councillor Dave Trimble officially opened the new Unipol Nottingham Bureau at 28 Shakespeare Street close to Nottingham Trent University's city campus:

28 Shakespeare Street
Nottingham NG1 4FQ
Tel: 0115 934 5020
E-Mail: info@nottingham.unipol.org.uk

The new bureau provides a long-term city-centre location for Unipol Nottingham with room to expand and grow the service, and offers students of both universities and landlords much greater access to Unipol staff and Unipol services.

As well as interactive terminals for searching for available properties, there is also other house hunting information available, all provided in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Meeting room facilities are now also available at the new office, and as well as existing landlord forums, it is planned that an ongoing programme of landlord training will be offerd as part of the range of services to accredited landlords.

As well as the move to new offices, December 2013 saw the launch of the results of a cross-city study undertaken by consultants, re'new, into where students are living and how this has changed over the last 10 years (see Assessment of Student Residence & Housing Market Conditions in Nottingham).

Also in 2013, Unipol was invited by Nottingham City Council to include Unipol Code landlords in the Nottingham Standard.

This umbrella scheme, which is due to be launched in early 2014, will create a single point where people in Nottingham can: •confirm if their landlord or property is accredited; •search for accredited properties.
