Wollaton East & Lenton Abbey Ward (WELA):

Bring your local issues to the:

Wollaton Park Residents Association (WPRA) who meet on the third Wednesday of every month, 7.00 pm at the Wollaton Park Community Centre, Harrow Road, NG8 1FG

Lenton Abbey Residents Association  (LARA) who meet on the first Wednesday of every month, 7.00 pm at the Sheila Roper Community Centre, Tenants Hall Close, off Baslow Drive, Lenton Abbey NG9 2RW.

Lenton Abbey Local Action Group (LAG) who meet on the first Wednesday of every month, 7.00 pm at the Shiela Roper Community Centre, Tenants Hall Close, off Baslow Drive, Lenton Abbey NG9 2RW.

Hillside Local Action Group (LAG) who meet third Wednesday every month, 7.00pm at the Wollaton Park Commuity Centre, Harrow, Road, NG8 1FG.

 

Lenton Abbey Fun Day 

Lenton Abbey Community Fun Day organized annually by LARA (Lenton Abbey Residents Association) and supported by WELA NDO -NCC

 Saturday 7th July 2018
1.00 pm to 5.00 pm
Lenton Abbey Park, corner of Derby Road and Woodside Road by Priory Island and opposite Toby Inn. (near edge of Wollaton Park) and St Barnabas Church grounds (Derby Road)

£10 a stall

FREE For all the family It attracts at least 300-500  people from Lenton Abbey, Beeston and city wide and further afield

To give you an idea of the range of activities which may be available on the day (as some acts, stalls and activities are still to be confirmed) This is the list of activities for Lenton Abbey Fun Day last year 2016 and previous years 

•         Nottingham School of Samba

•         Wholesome Fish band 

•         belly dancing

•         Dj-ing workshop and graffiti art with SEND Project

•         PA, local bands

•         Bouncy castle

•         tennis lessons- Nottingham Tennis Centre 

•         mendhi (henna hand decoration)

•         games and sports competitions by NCC Sports Development

•         sumo wrestling inflatable

•         face painting

•         nail decoration art, Mendhi – henna art

•         ice cream

•         local homemade food

•         Play activities 

•         Arts and crafts

•         AJ Sports and games activities 

•         Street art and music making workshop

•         Science busking

We would like to hear from people interested in volunteering before and on the day and for those interested in running an activity or a stall.

 organized annually in partnership by WELA NDO -NCC and by WPRA (Wollaton Park Residents Association)
