BRAMCOTE DEVELOPER SUBMITS PLANS FOR STUDENT ACCOMMODATION ON FORMER RED CROSS SITE ON GREGORY STREET, LENTON
An application (16/02055/PFUL3) has been received from Mr. Sajaid Mahmood by Nottingham City Council’s planners to re-develop the site of the former Red Cross offices (31 Gregory Street) on the corner of Abbey Street and Gregory Street.
In their Design and Access Statement, RD Architects state that the proposal is to build 43 one-bedroom studio apartments to be let to students, along with associated common room, residents’ gym and cinema room. The C-shaped building will range in height from two to four storeys and will include two parking spaces, one for disabled use, and one for the manager. Also included will be a private courtyard garden at the back of the block.
As well as the Design and Access Statement, the application includes a planning statement and noise assessment, as well as plans, diagrammatic representations of elevations, and street visualisations.
