BOUNDARY COMMISSION CONSULTATION ON REVISED PROPOSALS FOR ELECTORAL BOUNDARY CHANGES
 

The Boundary Commission for England (BCEA) has published (Tuesday 17 October 2017) its revised proposals for new electoral constituency boundaries which, if approved, will come into effect in time for the 2020 General Election.

It is proposed to reduce the number of Members of Parliament, and, in the East Midlands, this means that the number of constituencies must reduce from 46 to 44, each constituency having to contain between 71,031 and 78,507 electors.
